Role Description The Mechanic II role is a full-time, on-site position located in Spartanburg, SC. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment, such as material handling machinery, small engines, and facility support equipment. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance schedules, and documenting work performed in accordance with company and safety standards. The Mechanic II collaborates with operations and warehouse teams to minimize equipment downtime, orders or requisitions parts as needed, and ensures tools and work areas are maintained in a safe, organized manner. This role may also assist with process improvements, support junior team members, and participate in training to stay current with equipment and maintenance best practices. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in equipment maintenance and repair, including troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing preventive maintenance on material handling or similar machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders, with basic proficiency in diagnostic tools and related software or handheld devices. Strong understanding of workplace and equipment safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with operations, warehouse, and maintenance colleagues, and provide clear updates on repair status. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple work orders, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Prior experience in industrial, warehouse, or automotive/mechanical environments; experience with forklifts or similar equipment is highly beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or related fields is preferred. Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working in varying warehouse conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
