We are looking for professional, committed line cooks that are passionate about the food industry. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of foods and assisting the chef with their daily tasks. Line cooks will perform duties such as final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items. We are looking for team members who take value in their work and strive to create great-tasting food for our customers while working in a family-friendly environment.

Main Ingredients of the Job

The ideal candidate will have open availability and be eager to perform the following tasks:

• Must be a dedicated team player
• Able to coordinate food orders to ensure timely delivery to each table
• Must be able to follow the recipe and presentation guidelines
• Ensure all sanitation and safety guidelines are always followed
• Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters, and other kitchen equipment.
• Able to substitute for other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
• Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
• Complies consistently with the restaurant's standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces
• Able to prepare a variety of food
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Execute safe use of all kitchen equipment
• Uses the Standard Recipe Card for preparing all products; does not rely on the memory of oneself or others.

What You Bring to the Table

• Must have at least 6 months experience in a fast-paced restaurant with a high volume
• Possess grill and/or saut experience
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Enthusiastic team player with excellent motivation and people skills
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and push or lift 20 pounds or more
• Work under pressure with a positive attitude
• Be willing to take a food safety class or have a current food handlers certificate
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have:

• Diploma, certificate, or degree in culinary arts
• Currently seeking a diploma, certificate, or degree in culinary arts
