Hourly: $21.25 - $25.96 Job Title: Store Manager Department: Operation FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: District Sales Manager SUMMARY The Store Manager oversees and is responsible for the store's sales efforts in each department and supervises the store's overall operation to ensure efficiency and profitability. Enforces, conveys, and upholds the organization's policies, goals, and standards to the sales team to meet sales goals. The Store Manager consistently communicates with the District Sales Manager and the Store Support Center to drive initiatives and business growth. Represents the company's brand in appearance, attitude, and professionalism toward employees, customers, and the community. The Store Manager is knowledgeable in each product area or department of the store and is passionate about providing outstanding customer service and promoting merchandise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Drive store sales and meet sales goals, consistently focusing on company growth. Manage and control the company's assets by overseeing the designated store. Direct and oversee the entire sales effort within the store. Train and mentor store associates in sales strategies and skills. Maintain awareness of store metrics, inventory, expenses, and profit contributions. Consult and collaborate with the District Sales Manager to establish and enforce policies, goals, and procedures. Direct staff to ensure all responsibilities and standards in each department are completed. Mentor and develop Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training. Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate personnel. Manage payroll and scheduling to meet labor goals. Ensure store security and partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and reduce shrink. Communicate inventory movement updates to the District Sales Manager. Implement inventory goals and strategies. Execute marketing and advertising plans, staying aware of customer trends. Analyze competition and community events to capitalize on opportunities. Deliver outstanding customer service as outlined in the customer service manual. Protect company assets and financial information by upholding internal controls and reporting potential fraud. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage subordinate supervisors and non‑management employees such as Sales Associates, Hub Drivers, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training. Direct, coordinate, and evaluate supervisory function. Conduct hiring, training, performance appraisals, rewards, discipline, and complaint resolution. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience. Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel. Experience managing and cultivating a sales team. 3‑5 years of customer service experience. 3+ years of management experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen. Problem‑solving ability and aptitude to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
