Overview Construction Director of Operations - Water/Wastewater Construction Treatment/Plants & Infrastructure Last Updated: 4/30/25 Reno, NV - Full-time - $140,000 - $150,000 DOE Currently looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Director of Operations to fill an opening in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area with a growing leader in treatment plant and pump station construction. Interested candidates must not have more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years and have 10+ years of experience in this specific industry (self-performed treatment plant construction). Responsibilities Will be responsible for managing multiple managers overseeing projects ranging from $5M to $60M in size. Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets. New Project pursuit. Mentoring and supervision of project teams who will monitor project schedules and review work schedules for improving work methods. Oversee the timely submittal and completion of documentation required by the owner and agencies. Prepare subcontractor and supplier agreements to be executed and prepare correspondence to document changes in work or costs. Work with foreman and superintendents to monitor all activities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for crews, subcontractors and the public. Promote good public relations with owners, subcontractors, and the public. Qualifications Four year degree in Construction Management or Engineering field. Proven Project Management skills in Water/Wastewater self-performed construction. Skill in successfully leading project teams and preconstruction with structural concrete, mechanical process piping and excavation experience. Team player with strong work ethic and history of steady career path growth. Proven leadership skills. Project experience in the $5M-$50M range. Working knowledge of Design Build and alternative delivery methods is a Big Plus. Compensation The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 - $140,000 DOE, plus discretionary annual bonus, company provided vehicle/gas card, full medical coverage and paid vacation/PTO. Relocation expenses paid for the right candidate.
