Senior Scheduler

**This is an on-site role to start, with the possibility of shifting to a hybrid/remote format later on** ROLE: Senior Scheduler COMPANY: General Contractor LOCATION: On-site either in Atlanta, GA or Kansas City, MO FORMAT: Contract-to-hire About the Role AI data centers are being built faster than almost anything in construction history and the schedule is the thing holding it all together. We're looking for driven, detail-oriented scheduling professionals to handle the most complex work involved in preparing project schedules across projects of all sizes, while providing leadership to the team. This role will help mentor and train less experienced colleagues and operations staff. Core Responsibilities Prepares, builds, and updates project schedules in collaboration with the project team Conducts schedule reviews to ensure best practices are applied, and communicates feedback diplomatically to the project team Participates in all phases of planning and scheduling, from proposal and baseline schedules through ongoing updates Applies working knowledge of the company's scheduling software Develops and facilitates planning and scheduling training programs for internal team members, including content creation and implementation planning Leads planning and scheduling group best practice and process development efforts Develops and maintains a library of standard project schedule templates for internal use as a starting point Visits job sites regularly to assess status and apply construction sequencing knowledge to project schedule updates Leads project teams in assessing sequencing and construction methods, project delays and impacts, alternate work plans, and recovery schedules Supports project teams in coordinating with trade partners on schedule issues and recovery schedules Attends project or jobsite meetings where scheduling is a key focus, and participates in job pre-planning, post-construction, and monthly project status review meetings, providing feedback as needed Supports Lean and Pull Planning sessions, ensuring the CPM schedule aligns with pull plan results Prepares reports and adds resource/cost loading to schedules as required, in collaboration with project teams Provides planning and scheduling support to operations, marketing, and other functions as directed Accounts for market and regional factors, such as seasonal weather, materials, and labor availability, in project schedules Participates in pursuit opportunities with business development and the project team, including interviews and external client meetings during the pursuit phase Mentors, manages, and coaches a direct report (if applicable) Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent field experience). 5+ years of scheduling experience (preferred) Ground-up construction experience, preferably working for General Contractor Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner Advanced verbal and written communication skills Advanced proficiency in MS Office , Primavera P6 , and scheduling software, including the ability to import schedules into the company's standard system Advanced ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications Advanced ability to identify schedule sequencing concerns and improvement opportunities during job site visits Knowledge of construction management means and methods across commercial project types and delivery methods Advanced knowledge of work activity sequencing, durations, and scheduling concepts and best practices Intermediate knowledge of Lean process and philosophy, with the ability to lead and facilitate Pull Planning sessions Ability to manage change-related delays and claims (compensable/non-compensable, excusable/non-excusable, etc.) Ability to maintain required reimbursability standards and ensure direct reports do the same Ability to provide performance management feedback and complete evaluations Ability to create and maintain collaborative relationships, and work effectively as part of a team internally and externally Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required Willingness to travel to project sites or relocate as project timelines dictate Ability to work on active construction job sites, including exposure to extreme hot/cold environments and physical tasks (walking active sites, climbing, lifting up to 25 lbs) #J-18808-Ljbffr
