KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assist internal team members with providing financial due diligence assistance related to buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, to Fortune 100 companies and private equity investors
• Analyze target company and/or client data to identify key financial performance and operating trends and insights through rigorous financial statement analysis and applied data analytics
• Assist with designing, creating and composing client tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key engagement and/or transaction issues which address and highlight stakeholder concerns, valuation models, synergies, contractual issues and accounting and tax reporting implications including the following analyses of operating trends, quality of earnings, financial position, net working capital, debt and potential indebtedness considerations, borrowing base calculations and/or business combinations

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, or equivalent program
• Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business (the state in which the office is located) for this position (completion of academic credits required prior to starting as an Associate in Deal Advisory)
• Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications used by our clients
• Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity
• Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
