St. Clare of Assisi Catholic school is seeking a full-time director of student support services and interventionist, to support students in math, reading and English learner support.
St. Clare of Assisi is a K-8 school located in the picturesque Rocky Mountains, near Vail, Colorado. As part of the Archdiocese of Denver, we serve the community in Eagle County.

On-staff mentorship is offered for new teachers. This teacher will be responsible for creating a warm, Catholic, academically rich and inclusive learning environment for students who have 504 plans. This position includes coordinating/managing student individualized learning plans, and offering students intervention in math and reading, as well as English learner support. St. Clare utilizes the EdMod platform for 504 plan management.

Requirements:Special Education Teaching
- Teach and act in accordance with doctrinal and moral teaching of the Catholic Church
- Design supports and interventions for students with Individualized Learning Plans and 504 plans.
- Adapt or modify educational activities and materials in coordination with general education teacher
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to identify students in need of academic support and intervention
- Facilitate small group lessons and interventions
- Push-in to classrooms for students needing additional support
- Pull-out students for small group or individual intervention in math, English, and English learner support.
- Use school curricula to support students in intervention
Coordination Duties
- Managing plans (ILPs and 504s) for students with diagnosed mild, moderate, and significant disabilities with clear documentation of services provided
- Work collaboratively with local school district and 3rd-party therapists, coordinating schedules, therapies, and annual meetings
- Use Education Modified (EdMod) to oversee student plans and accommodations
- Facilitate meetings with teachers, parents, and other support professionals
- Work closely with the principal to create an intervention schedule and to ensure that student accommodations and needs are being met
- Complete required trainings or credentialing as necessary
- Participate in all Archdiocese of Denver and school-level professional development, in-service trainings and initiatives unless exempted or excused by administrator
- Other job duties as assigned such as lunch and recess supervision

Competencies, Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)
- Bachelor's degree, special education or English Language Learner coursework preferred
- Experience in classroom setting or comparable instructional role
- Technologically adept with experience in using digital tools for instructional purposes
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks and workload with desired outcomes
- Complete required training, certification, and/or credentialing as necessitated by Archdiocese of Denver, school, and/or student need
