Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care patients
• Circulate in the operating room during deliveries and surgical procedures across 4 ORsFunction as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing continuous newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and full newborn assessments until transfer to postpartum
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Perform electronic fetal monitoring and document care using EPIC
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units, and potentially to sister facilities offering Mother/Baby services, as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with at least 2 years in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment; high-risk L&D experience required
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the OR — hard stop requirement
• Demonstrated ability to perform newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments — hard stop requirement
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and electronic fetal monitoring
• Current, valid RN license (compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Experience working in units following AWHONN staffing guidelines
