Project Manager

Description We are seeking a highly motivated Readiness & Operations Transition Contractor to support the successful launch and operational readiness of new solar and battery storage projects across the West & Central Region of the United States. This is a 12-month contract role focused on project readiness, transition execution, and operational handoff support. The contractor will play a critical role in ensuring assets are fully prepared for safe, compliant, and efficient entry into operations. The ideal candidate resides within the region and near a major airport and is able to support approximately 50% travel. Job Duties & Responsibilities Project & Transition Management • Plan, coordinate, and execute readiness and transition activities across multiple renewable energy projects • Support day-to-day transition processes to ensure timely and efficient project completion • Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reporting • Track progress against milestones and provide regular updates to stakeholders • Identify risks and issues, validate outcomes, and implement corrective actions • Coordinate cross-functional teams to support project execution and operational handoff Operational Readiness • Ensure projects meet operational readiness standards, including safety, compliance, and technical requirements • Support site onboarding processes and readiness reviews • Track and drive closure of punch lists, action items, and outstanding deliverables • Assist with procurement coordination and equipment readiness, as needed Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting • Facilitate project meetings and readiness discussions • Prepare and deliver presentations and status updates for internal stakeholders • Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and vendors to ensure alignment • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the transition lifecycle Continuous Improvement • Support process improvements related to readiness and transition execution • Conduct external research and stay informed on renewable energy and industry best practices Skills solar, BESS, battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, pmp certification Top Skills Details solar Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications • High School Diploma / GED • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • 4+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, or renewable energy environments ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Experience in renewable energy, power generation, or battery energy storage systems (BESS) • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field • Familiarity with project management methodologies or certifications (PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt) • Experience supporting multi-site or geographically distributed projects ________________________________________ Success Factors • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills • Self-driven with a focus on execution and accountability • Commitment to safety, quality, and timely delivery Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
