The Equipment Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activity of the repair shop and ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe manner.

Things You'll Do

• Oversee all maintenance employees, equipment, plant maintenance, and condition of facility.
• Oversee the completion of maintenance projects.
• Monitor employee training and certification.
• Set and oversee the achievement of performance standards.
• Responsible for weekly reports.
• Perform duties of a lead mechanic.
• Assist with shop recruiting, hiring, promotion, and corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
• Other duties or projects, administrative or otherwise, as assigned.

Requirements

• Two-year diesel mechanic certificate preferred.
• Seven to ten years experience at journeyman level strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• CDL a plus, but not required
• Maintain department of transportation (DOT) medical card.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills
• Knowledge of equipment, vehicle, and plant maintenance
• Maintain insurable driving record.
