IT Support Specialist

Days & Time : This position will work 40 hours a week. Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunchbreak. Some weekend availability is required.

Pay : $38,458.58 - $50,142.29 per year

Job Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for

• Providing day-to-day, hands-on technical support to agency staff via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person site visits.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, network, and printer issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop/laptop computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and software applications.
• Setting up and supporting new user accounts, workstations, and system access, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Monitoring and managing help desk tickets, ensuring accurate documentation, prioritization, and timely resolution of all requests.
• Providing excellent customer service, communicating clearly with non-technical staff and following up to ensure issue resolution.
• Escalating complex technical issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed while maintaining ownership of the request.
• Assisting in maintaining network connectivity, including basic troubleshooting of internet access.
• Performing routine system updates, patches, and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Supporting and troubleshooting office equipment including printers, scanners, and phones.
• Assisting with software deployment, upgrades, and system rollouts across the organization.
• Developing and delivering basic user training and guidance on systems, applications, and IT best practices.
• Creating and updating technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
• Ensuring compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and data protection practices.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma/GED and training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.
