Occupational Therapist (Part-Time, Flexible Schedule)

Location: Fontana, CA
Position Type: Part-Time (Flexible Based on Facility Needs)
Work Arrangement: In-Person, Hybrid, or Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide clinical review and oversight services on a flexible, part-time basis. This role offers scheduling flexibility and may be performed in-person, hybrid, or remotely depending on the needs of the facility.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment and experience evaluating occupational therapy recommendations to ensure they are appropriate, evidence-based, and aligned with patient needs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review occupational therapy recommendations, treatment plans, and proposed accommodations or modifications.
• Evaluate and confirm that recommended modifications are clinically appropriate and support optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide professional clinical guidance and recommendations when adjustments are needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, facility staff, and other healthcare professionals as required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of reviews and determinations.
• Participate in case discussions and consultations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Current and active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, clinical assessment, and treatment planning.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible workload.

Preferred

• Previous experience conducting clinical reviews, utilization review, case management, or consulting services.
• Experience working with rehabilitation, skilled nursing, healthcare, or long-term care facilities.
• Familiarity with California healthcare regulations and documentation requirements.
