Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with neonatal experience and Modified Barium Swallow Study skills for a NICU position in a Level III facility.

Details

• Speech-Language Pathology role in the NICU with floating to pediatric and adult units as needed
• Caseload-dependent patient ratios
• Utilizes Meditech Magic and Meditech Expanse EMR systems
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment with no weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
• Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology (license required if applicable)
• Neonatal experience required
• Modified Barium Swallow Study experience required
• Pediatric and adult experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities in patients with impairments resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, disease, or other conditions
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice and patient age/development
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement and assess intervention programs
• Requires strong self-motivation, independence, and a proactive approach to patient care
• Dress code requires dark blue scrubs with bare-below-the-elbows attire in the NICU
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
