Project Manager - Water Resources

Role Overview We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to work in a project manager capacity out of our Charleston, WV office. Our engineers have the opportunity to design projects in cities and municipalities where their work makes a real and lasting impact. Key Responsibilities Evaluate existing service area utility assets and develop recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement Support the design of water line and sanitary sewer line rehabilitation and replacement projects Monitor construction phase performance and adherence to plans and specifications; assist with submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and change orders Coordinate environmental studies, permitting, alternative analyses, and other technical deliverables Identify future project opportunities and emerging client needs Ensure clear project communication between team members and clients Deliver formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, the public, and regulatory agencies Attend networking events, trade shows, and technical conferences for business development Build and maintain client relationships through strong project delivery Incorporate engineering considerations into water and wastewater system designs, including pump selection, valve sizing, and mechanical equipment layout Support troubleshooting and performance evaluation of mechanical systems during construction and commissioning What You’ll Bring Education: BS in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) certification highly desired; ability to obtain PE considered Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience Communication: Exceptional presentation and written communication skills Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and guide teams Work style: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively Travel: Periodic travel to project sites required Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefit package including health, dental, and vision insurance; company-paid short- and long-term disability; 401(k) matching; paid time off; and tuition assistance.
