Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Relevant experience in step-down nursing Description: The primary patient population includes those recovering from cardiac surgery. We assist patients in their recovery following CABG, valve surgery, or heart transplant procedures. The unit also cares for postoperative lung surgery patients. This includes those who may have had a small wedge resection, lobectomy, or double lung transplant. Additionally, we serve patients with esophagectomies and bronchial valves. We also cater to patients from the EP lab, Cath lab, and general cardiology.
