Now Hiring: Welder/Fitter Welder - 1st Shift

Starting at $22 per hour
Full-time | 1st shift
Long-term fabrication opportunity


Express Employment Professionals is recruiting experienced Welders and Fitter Welders for a respected local fabrication company. This is not an internal Express position.


If you take pride in producing strong, accurate welds and can confidently work from blueprints, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a skilled production team with steady daytime hours.


What You'll Do


• Perform quality welds according to blueprints and specifications
• Fit and position metal components before welding
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
• Measure materials and verify proper fit and alignment
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
• Complete grinding, cleaning, and preparation as needed
• Identify and report quality or equipment concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all production and workplace safety procedures


What You'll Need


• Previous welding experience required
• Fitting and fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols
• Strong measurement and basic shop-math skills
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and workmanship
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fabrication environment
• Must successfully complete a hands-on welding assessment
• Must provide your own welding hood and steel-toe boots


Welding jackets and sleeves will be provided.
