Job Summary

A Neuro Medical Surgical Floor Nurse is needed in the Tallahassee, Florida area. The position involves floating across all units within the medical surgical division, with a focus on neuro-specific care. The nurse will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to facility protocols and utilizing EPIC electronic health record experience.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or Compact nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification; AHA (American Heart Association) BLS certification; at least 2 years of clinical experience, with 1 year preferably in neuro-specific care; prior travel experience with at least one assignment completed; EPIC electronic health record experience; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; Phlebotomy skills required; orientation sessions held every Monday; RN responsibilities include Phlebotomy and PCT tasks when available
• Additional Information: Floating to all units within the medical surgical division is required; no local or travel pair restrictions within a 50-mile radius for Med Surg units; no block scheduling; no holiday RTO or more than 7 consecutive days of RTO; orientation includes EPIC training during the second half of the day at TMH orientation; testing out of EPIC training is possible; required to complete full training if testing is not successful; RTO requests of 4 days or less may be eligible for travel nursing support.
