Inherent to success in this position is organization, desire to work in a team-oriented academic medical setting, capability to stay abreast of current developments relevant to the position, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of the duties of a Surgical Technologist.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Take the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining our Operating Rooms for surgical procedures* Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and partners, from our scheduling team to surgeons* Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, problem-solving environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies used during surgical procedures* Perform scrub role while supporting patient safety a sterile environment* Support of post-operative tasks, including removal of contaminated instruments, decontamination, sterilization and turnover of the Operating Room**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**Completion of a Surgical Technologist program AND one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment.Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.**ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST**UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
