Equipment Maintenance Technician

Equipment Maintenance TechnicianTekberry is seeking a Maintenance Technician III – Wafer Equipment to support our client in their semiconductor wafer manufacturing operations in a Class 100 Clean Room environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production tools. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong electro-mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production setting.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair equipment issues, identifying root causes of failuresPerform preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule and established procedures (MMM)Accurately document all maintenance activities and equipment performance in tracking systemsCollect and record operational data, as requiredPartner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Leadership to: Improve KPIs and equipment performanceIncrease tool uptime and availabilityReduce PM cycle times and wafer scrapEnhance procedures, quality, and overall efficiencySupport training and certification of maintenance team membersRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance: Vacuum, Photolithography (Photo), or Wet/Plating technologiesStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsSolid understanding of failure analysis and root cause problem-solvingWorking knowledge of control systems and/or PLCsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and tracking systemsStrong communication and collaboration skills across teamsWillingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, and weekends as neededPreferred QualificationsVacuum Systems: PVD, CVD, Sputter (Balzers, Veeco, Anelva, etc.)Deposition / Ion Mill: Veeco IBE, DLC 350, RF350, RF240Etch Systems: Asher, Hitachi, MatrixWet Processing: Plating (NiFe, MLO), SRD, NMT, Resist Strip, Chemical EtchCMP: Ebara, Strausbaugh, DiscoPhotolithography / Metrology: ASML, TEL, Canon, Nikon, KLA, FEI SEMEducationTechnical degree in Electronics or related fieldMilitary technical training (electronic/mechanical)ASE certificationExperience in semiconductor manufacturing (IC, disk, solar, etc.)Work EnvironmentCleanroom manufacturing environmentFast-paced, production-driven settingRequires adherence to strict safety and contamination control standardsTekberry Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
