Escrow Officer (In Office)

Overview Join our Scottsdale Homebuilder Services Division branch at First American, where we recognize our true worth is our people. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting focused on customer service and closing deals. You will handle real estate transactions by establishing escrow accounts, managing funds, processing documents for closings, and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements. Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company. Ensure that all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with the terms of the contract and company policy. Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction. Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents. Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale. Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title. Qualifications 2-4 years of escrow‑related experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience directly handling escrow transactions, preferably as an escrow assistant. Openness to new technology and proprietary programs and adapts easily to new workflows. Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication with both internal team and external customers; comfortable using various types of communication to meet customer needs. Problem‑solving skills with strong organizational abilities, detail oriented, and knows how to navigate resources to resolve issues. Thrives in contributing to a team working together to deliver beyond customer expectations. Comfortable guiding and supporting future talent learning the business.
