Job Description

Work Environment
This role is based on a manufacturing and production floor focused on assembling HVAC cooling units used in electronics applications. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with a half day on Friday. You work in a clean, organized, and process-driven assembly environment, either in cell build groups or at individual assembly stations. The work is hands-on and repetitive, involving small to medium-sized components and regular use of hand tools. The pace is fast, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and performing quality checks throughout the process. Work is guided by detailed work instructions and production orders, and you are expected to keep your area clean and materials organized. The environment is safety-oriented, and personal protective equipment such as safety glasses may be required, along with adherence to all safety procedures on the floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components and finished products according to work instructions, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
- Use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and wrenches safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet all quality and performance standards.
- Read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to complete assemblies accurately and on time.
- Gather, stage, and handle materials, components, and inventory required to complete production orders.
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records to support traceability and efficient workflow.
- Assemble and support wire assembly, wire harness assembly, control panel assembly, and electrical wiring as needed.
- Assist with testing activities using test equipment to verify proper function of assembled products.
- Support machine operation and other manufacturing processes as cross-training opportunities arise.
- Perform soldering and soldering assembly tasks when required, following applicable standards and procedures.
- Work collaboratively in a team-based manufacturing environment, contributing to cell build groups or individual assembly stations.
- Keep workstations and surrounding areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain an efficient and safe workspace.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and adhere to all quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, quality, and efficiency.
- Mechanical assembly experience or aptitude, including working with small to medium-sized components.
- Proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and wrenches in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints with strong reading comprehension.
- Experience performing quality inspections during and after assembly to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Material handling skills, including gathering, staging, and organizing components for production orders.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for repetitive, hands-on assembly tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily production activities.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability, consistently producing accurate work and meeting production expectations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based manufacturing environment.
- Basic familiarity with manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or machine operation settings (experience preferred).
- Experience using basic measuring and inspection tools to verify product quality (preferred).
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation is preferred but not required.
- Experience with electrical assembly, control panel assembly, and electrical wiring is a plus.
- Experience with wire assembly, wire harness assembly, or panel building is highly beneficial.
- Experience with HVAC manufacturing or electromechanical assembly is an advantage.
- Familiarity with testing processes and the use of test equipment is desirable.
- Soldering and soldering assembly experience, including any soldering certifications, is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Comfort working from detailed production orders and process-driven workflows.
- Willingness to cross-train in additional manufacturing areas such as machine operation, testing, and electrical assembly.
