Job Description: Monitors and reviews strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher echelon headquarters and makes recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts. Develops plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design, and by using the Joint Planning Process (JPP), within the milestones, deliverables, and interaction points for plans developed using the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) activities. Develops Training Objectives (TOs) for exercises through the Training Objective Workshop (TOW). Provides input to briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assisting in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of training and exercises. Provides input to address shortfalls, prioritize and validate requirements, and be prepared to modify development planning efforts based on the changing cyberspace environment. Contributes to the development of exercise scenarios, exercise operational plans, and other required documentation to support planning and execution to accomplish USCYBERCOM exercise training priorities. Develops exercise collection plans to facilitate collection of Training Objective Observations (TOOs) and develops recommendations for Training Objective Evaluations (TOEs), Training Proficiency Assessments (TPAs), and Command Mission Training Assessments (MTAs) for the government IAW CJCM 3500.03F. Participates in Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), and Operational Planning Groups/Teams (OPG/OPTs). Possesses the ability to work efficiently in a military staff environment requiring coordination across USCYBERCOM Directorates, Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (JFHQ-Cs), subordinate unified command headquarters (CNMF and DCDC), Service Cyber Components (SCCs), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), components and agencies, and USCYBERCOM Strategic partners and stakeholders. Qualifications: Minimum five years of experience as a Joint Operations Planner and a complete working knowledge of the JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance Minimum specialized education in military joint operations planning through the Joint Professional Military Education Phase II (JPME II) from a CJCS accredited joint education program listed in CJCSI 1800.01E. The JIOPC, or other similar military operations planning courses, may be substituted for JPME II Four years of planning experience may be substituted with completion of an advanced Service planner school (School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), etc.) Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: An active Top Secret SCI with CI POLY #J-18808-Ljbffr Precision Focus
