Procurement Manager
The Judge Group Inc
A growing food manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Procurement Manager to source raw proteins, ingredients, packaging, and supplies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost and inventory strategy alongside senior leadership.
Responsibilities:- Lead sourcing/procurement strategy for raw materials and packaging
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements
- Manage supplier performance, KPIs, and risk mitigation
- Forecast demand and optimize inventory levels
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Ops, QA, Sales, Finance)
- Ensure USDA/food safety compliance on all purchased materials
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory analytics
- Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years procurement/purchasing experience, ideally in food/protein manufacturing
- Strong ERP/MRP experience (Canopy or similar)
- Solid financial acumen (cost analysis, variances, margins)
- Knowledge of USDA/GMP/HACCP preferred
- Strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills
