May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirementsYour Primary Responsibilities:Contribute expertise in the application of different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologiesDesign, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycleContribute to the design of the automation framework and enhancementMaintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scriptsIdentify dependencies, define, and communicate environmental and data requirementsAct as a technical expert on one or more applications utilized by DTCCResearch and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standardsAlign risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriatelyPartner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirementsCreate applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirementsWork with peers to mature ways of working to implement and maintain continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipelineCollaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software qualityAligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriatelyQualifications:Minimum of 6 years of related experienceBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success:The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
