Electrician

Description Trecora is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team in Lawrence, KS . The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), three‑phase motors, and a wide range of manufacturing equipment in a chemical plant environment. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical systems and production machinery. What We Offer 2 weeks of flex time 2 weeks paid time off Medical Benefits Monday to Friday schedule 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Requirements Specific Job Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair (110v, 220v, 480v) electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components, including three-phase motors, control panels, and wiring systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance. Document all repairs, installations, and maintenance activities accurately. Complete other job responsibilities as assigned and all jobs in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications for Industrial Electrician High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred. 2 to 5 years as an Industrial Electrician in plant environment. Familiarity with OSHA Safety standards. Skillset of this position Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) programming and troubleshooting. Expertise in three-phase motor systems and industrial power distribution. Ability to work with various manufacturing equipment and automated systems. Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and schematics. Successful completion of new employee orientation and all job specific training. Physical Requirements of the job Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
