Senior Phlebotomist
Jobtailor
Responsibilities Serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving blood. Prepares specimens for laboratory testing. Performs screening procedures. Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique. Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection. Maintains quality results by following department procedures and testing schedules. Resolves unusual test orders by contacting relevant personnel. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience. BS/BA degree (preferred). High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State).
