HVAC Refrigeration Technician

Commercial Refrigeration / HVAC Service Provider

Job Description

The HVAC Refrigeration Technician will specialize in servicing commercial refrigeration systems as part of a large regional field service team. This role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC refrigeration units while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The technician will engage in customer communication and technical documentation to support efficient service delivery. Opportunities for advancement include positions such as equipment specialist, supervisory roles, technical trainer, and field service manager.

Responsibilities

Install commercial HVAC refrigeration systems
Perform routine and preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Test equipment functionality and efficiency
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs
Document service activities and technical findings
Replace worn or faulty parts as needed

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in HVAC refrigeration
Technical certification in HVAC or refrigeration
EPA Section 608 Certification
Knowledge of refrigeration and electrical systems
Proficiency with diagnostic tools
Understanding of safety standards
Strong mechanical aptitude
Customer service and problem-solving skills
Effective time management abilities
