Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the island's largest clinic and only multispecialty medical group. More than 85 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care at clinic locations in Eleele, Kapaa, Koloa and Lihue.

At Kaua'i Medical Clinic, we believe that there is nothing more important than ensuring that our children receive the best medical care available and that their families have confidence in their providers. Caring for children from birth to young adulthood, we emphasize preventive health care and sick visits. Our pediatricians provide immunizations, check-ups, adolescent care and sports physicals to school-age children. Many of our staff members have expertise in specific areas of health, such as allergies and asthma. These special medical services for children are combined with a distinguished pediatric team that provides ongoing preventive care to give Kaua'i's children a running start to become strong, healthy adults.

As a Medical Assistant, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff the provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the National Association For Health Professionals (NAFHP), the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician's office, or related experience.
