Title: Instructor/Assistant Professor, Computer Information Systems Department: Computer Information Systems Campus Location: Arnold/Main Campus Salary Range: $58,055-$72,915 Work Mode: Regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties. Job Duties and Responsibilities Commitment to student‑centered teaching excellence with a diverse student body and in a variety of teaching formats. Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development. Commitment to AACC’s values. Teach 30 faculty load hours annually during Fall and Spring. Provide 6 office hours per week. Participate in departmental, school, and college/community service. In addition to a faculty member’s primary responsibilities, the exceptional candidate will also demonstrate commitment and experience in one or more of the following areas: Mentoring students from target groups; new full‑time faculty; part‑time faculty. Training and consulting for workforce initiatives (e.g., for public and corporate partners). Developing and implementing community education and extended learning programs. Partnering with colleagues to enhance services to students and the community. Recruiting and marketing. Devising retention strategies and activities. Strengthening relationships and collaborative activities including K‑12 and baccalaureate‑granting colleagues. Required Qualifications Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or institution in a closely relevant field. 3 or more years of professional experience and hands‑on technical background in one or more of the following fields are required: Workflow Automation, Vibe Coding, Finetuning AI models, Chatbot development. Helpdesk operations. Relevant Professional Certifications (ITIL, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Machine Learning, Python. Combination of industry and instructional experience. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting. Experience with curriculum development and learning outcomes assessment. Ability to work flexible hours and locations, including some weekends and evenings as needed.
