Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuroscience Med/Surg Unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on a range of neurological and medical conditions.

Shift Details

Shift: Night 3x12 (18:45 - 07:15)
Weekend Coverage: Required every other weekend
Float: Must be willing to float to other units based on need and skill set

Staffing Ratios

Night shift staffing ratio is 1:6.

Patient Population

Care will primarily be provided to adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including:

Stroke/TIA
Seizure
Syncope
Pneumonia (PNA)
Chest Pain
Dialysis
Acute Kidney Failure
Post Heart Catheterization
Respiratory Failure
Encephalopathy
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Sepsis

Unit Details

This unit specializes in the inpatient care of stroke and TIA patients, as well as managing higher acuity medical-surgical patients. We prioritize an exceptional patient experience and are equipped to perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
At least 1 year of critical experience required.
1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health records is a must.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
No first-time travelers will be considered.

Medications and Procedures

Familiarity with the Omnicell medication system and clinical procedures will be essential in this role.

Work Environment

The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care, with responsibilities including medication administration, patient assessment, and care plan implementation.
