Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery with postpartum experience required.
License: Active RN license required.
Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM


Must-Have:
Experience in sterile vaginal exam.
Experience in fetal monitoring skills including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement.
Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Experience administering Pitocin (oxytocin).
Experience managing and administering epidural anesthesia.


Description:
RNs will work in both labor and postpartum settings.
The average daily census is 8 deliveries per day and 15 postpartum patients.
RNs are expected to work every other weekend.
First-time travelers are accepted.
RNs may float within their scope to meet facility needs as required.
The unit includes 13 labor and delivery beds, 5 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 27 postpartum rooms.
The patient population includes neonates and adults.
Interdisciplinary support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
Special procedures include labor, postpartum, cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and antepartum care.
Candidates should be aware of and comply with state background checks and requirements.
Candidates will undergo training in charting systems prior to starting the position.
References must be provided prior to consideration for the position.
