PRIDESTAFF is currently seeking dependable, motivated, and energetic PACKING ASSOCIATES for a distribution company in Romeoville, IL.
These are 2nd shift TEMP-TO-HIRE opportunities starting at $20.00 per hour
2nd shift = 3:00pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri
*Must be available for OT as needed!
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, team-player mentality, and excellent attendance!
The Pack Associate is responsible for accurately packing small HVAC parts and service components for customer and dealer orders within a high-volume distribution environment.
Core responsibilities include:- Utilize RF scanners or pick tickets to verify part numbers, quantities, and overall order accuracy, while selecting the appropriate cartons, dunnage, and packaging materials to ensure timely, damage-free shipments
- Label, seal, and stage packages for outbound shipping
- Maintain established productivity and quality performance standards
- Identify or report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to leadership
- Strict adherence to all safety policies, standard operating procedures, and housekeeping guidelines
- Keep packing stations clean and fully stocked
- Assist with rework or peak-season volume projects, and work collaboratively across picking, shipping, inventory, and quality teams
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of previous warehouse/distribution experience PREFERRED (not required)
- Must be reliable and safety conscious. Attendance and teamwork are key!
- MUST be willing to purchase required footwear (Steel toe boots with minimum standard of ASTM 2413-18) and puncture resistant insoles
