Role Description The Nursing Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, responsible for educating and mentoring nursing learners in classroom, simulation, and clinical settings. The role includes planning, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based nursing education, aligning content with institutional standards, regulatory requirements, and current best practices. Day-to-day tasks involve developing lesson plans, teaching didactic and clinical courses, supervising learners during patient care, and providing constructive feedback to support professional growth. The Nursing Instructor collaborates with academic and clinical leaders to refine curricula, integrate interprofessional education, and ensure high-quality learning experiences. Additional responsibilities may include participating in committees, contributing to educational research or quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate documentation of learner performance and program outcomes. Qualifications Strong clinical expertise and applied knowledge in Nursing, with experience in patient care across diverse settings. Demonstrated proficiency in Nursing Education and Curriculum Development, including designing, implementing, and assessing learning activities. Solid foundation in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, with the ability to incorporate current evidence and clinical guidelines into teaching. Current registered nurse (RN) license in New York State and relevant professional certifications (e.g., specialty certification in critical care or education) preferred. Graduate degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field (Master’s required; Doctoral degree preferred). Effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education.
