This role drives closure of supply and delivery misalignments for semiconductor and electronic component commodities, including analog and linear ICs, microcontrollers (MCUs), power management devices, relays, resistors, and other critical components.You will be the day-to-day focal point between Teradyne, EMS partners, suppliers, and cross-functional operations teams to identify supply gaps, develop recovery plans, communicate risk, and execute the actions required to protect revenue and customer commitments. You will partner closely with Commodity Managers, who provide strategic supplier management, commercial negotiation support, and executive escalation when required.What You’ll DoShortage Ownership & Recovery ExecutionAssume primary ownership of assigned shortage portfolios and drive resolution to closure.Lead day-to-day shortage management for assigned semiconductor and electronic component suppliers.Analyze supply versus demand misalignments and determine the root causes of shortages.Develop and maintain shortage recovery plans, tracking actions, commitments, and closure progress.Identify recovery opportunities including alternate sourcing, inventory redeployment, substitutions, pull-ins, and expedites.Drive supplier and EMS accountability to close material gaps impacting production and revenue.Supply Continuity PlanningMonitor inventory, open purchase orders, supplier commits, backlog positions, and demand signals.Maintain shortage tracking tools, horizontal reports, and recovery dashboards.Update planning models manually to reflect the latest supplier information and recovery actions.Translate supplier commitments into expected production and revenue impacts.Evaluate risks to quarterly shipments, revenue plans, and customer commitments.Supplier & EMS Partner ManagementServe as the primary operational interface between suppliers, EMS partners, and Teradyne planning teams.Attend weekly shortage reviews with EMS partners including Flex, Plexus, Zollner, and other manufacturing partners.Lead supplier recovery discussions for assigned shortages.Communicate demand forecasts, DNS signals, production requirements, and recovery priorities to suppliers.Track supplier commitments and ensure they are accurately reflected in planning systems and reporting tools.Escalate missed commitments, supply risks, and recovery barriers through appropriate channels.Communication & ReportingProvide weekly executive-ready updates on critical shortages, recovery status, and revenue impacts.Communicate supplier updates and recovery plans to internal stakeholders and EMS partners.Identify and communicate production gating issues impacting shipment commitments.Develop risk assessments, gap analyses, and recommended mitigation plans.Present shortage status and recovery actions in management reviews and operations meetings.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Revenue Operations, Demand Management, Manufacturing Planning, Operations, Commodity Management, Engineering, and EMS partners.Support new product introductions and ramps by proactively identifying supply risks.Coordinate actions required to support business continuity and supply assurance initiatives.Work closely with Commodity Managers when commercial leverage, allocation negotiations, executive escalation, quality concerns, or strategic supplier engagement are required.Key Commodities SupportedAnalog and Linear Integrated CircuitsMicrocontrollers (MCUs)Power Management ICsData ConvertersSwitches and MultiplexersRelays and Solid-State RelaysPrecision Resistors and Resistor NetworksMixed-Signal and Logic DevicesDistributed Semiconductor ComponentsTypical supplier engagement includes companies such as Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, Microchip, Infineon, Vishay, Panasonic, Omron, Apex Microtechnology, and other strategic semiconductor suppliers.All About YouWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
