Personnel Specialist HCSHQ-Health Care HQ

Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit (01), and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by (3) percent and will receive (5) PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 30, 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

Under the close and/or general supervision of the Personnel Supervisor II, CCHCS, Transactions & Benefits Services Section, the Personnel Specialist (PS) is responsible for the personnel transactions of an assigned roster of approximately 180+ employees. Duties include, but are not limited to, the processing of attendance and payroll for employees in a variety of bargaining units, as well as excluded employees. The PS will be responsible for interpreting and applying personnel related laws, rules, regulations, policies, and Memorandum of Understanding and performing salary determinations. The incumbent is expected to become increasingly independent consistent with training and on the job experience. May require travel to the institutions as necessary.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required.
