Recreation Therapy Assistant
The Atlas Healthcare Group
- Assists with the planning, organization, and implementation of specialized group activities designed to motivate, stimulate, and improve the quality of life for facility residents.
- Encourage and stimulate creative talents, physical capabilities, and cognitive skills of each resident to his/her highest potential.
- Support the one-to-one individualized activities and sensory stimulation for those residents who do not actively participate in group activities.
- Transports residents to area where programs are being conducted.
- Supports resident supervision on the nursing unit(s), including outdoor activities.
- Communicates residents progress and/or concerns resulting from activity related participation.
- Provides feedback for resident assessments as requested by department TRD.
- Assist with supply inventory, planning and purchasing for department/facility activities.
- Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by Supervisor /Administrator and or Director
