General Counsel

The General Counsel will lead legal strategy and execution for a rapidly growing, global, retail company, ensuring compliance and providing strategic legal guidance to support business objectives across their operations in multiple states in the US. Description General Counsel Responsibilities Provide legal advice and guidance to the company and senior leadership team on a wide range of business and compliance legal matters. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the retail industry. Manage relationships with external legal counsel as needed. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal risks. Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations. Oversee corporate governance and ensure proper legal documentation. Provide training and support to staff on legal matters and company policies. Strong preference for experience in the retail industry or a similar sector encompassing leasing work, construction/store fit‑out contracts, employment matters for workforce across multiple states. Strong knowledge of corporate, compliance, and contract law. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice to leadership teams. Job Offer Competitive salary range: c. $170,000 - $175,000 per year (depending on relevant experience). Annual bonus.
