We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and support overall clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and EMR systems. A strong background with infection control, and dental documentation is essential to ensure the highest standards of patient health and safety. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, medical coding, and documentation review. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for accurate record keeping. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized techniques for young patients. Collaborate with dentists during procedures involving general dentistry and pediatric dentistry cases. Monitor patient comfort levels and address any concerns during treatment. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry, four‑handed dentistry, and chairside assisting is preferred. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment accurately. Strong understanding of medical records management, documentation review, and medical coding. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when applicable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is highly desirable.
