LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Overview Mercy is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will deliver direct patient care, administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and accurately document in our EHR. You’ll collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support care plans and patient education, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or provider Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor, record, and report patient status and vital signs Perform basic clinical procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, catheter care) Document care and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR) Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and self-care Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards Support a culture of compassion, respect, and diversity in all interactions Patient assessment and monitoring Medication administration and dosage calculation Phlebotomy and IV therapy (as allowed by state scope) Wound care and dressing changes Catheter care and basic respiratory treatments EHR/EMR documentation Infection prevention and control Vital signs monitoring and interpretation Patient and family education Team communication and collaboration Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Active LPN/LVN license in state of practice Current BLS/CPR certification IV certification (preferred, if applicable by state) Experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic) Medication administration competency #J-18808-Ljbffr
