Medical Front Desk Coordinator

Job Description We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a warm and welcoming environment while managing the front desk operations efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to excellent patient service. Responsibilities Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information. Provide top-notch customer service, greeting patients, and addressing their needs in a professional and friendly manner. Maintain advanced knowledge of Medicare and other relevant insurance policies and procedures. Perform front desk duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing office correspondence. Assist with medical office management, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Assist with care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support. Utilize electronic health records (EHRs) to computerize patient information and streamline clinical operations. Demonstrate a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and adhere to all confidentiality and security standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that patient care plans are effectively implemented and monitored. Utilize Athenahealth to manage patient information and optimize clinical operations. Skills Experience in a medical office setting or related healthcare environment. Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations. Proficiency in medical office management and computerization. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Medicare policies and procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and security standards. Experience with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record (EHR) systems.
