Registered Nurse Neuro Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides skilled nursing care to patients requiring neuro telemetry monitoring. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. The RN will float between units and is expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:4, demonstrating strong clinical skills and effective communication in a fast-paced acute care environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and telemetry monitoring skills.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:4 effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in neuro telemetry, progressive care, or acute care settings.
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center environment.

Special Considerations:

• Floating between units is required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Dress code: Licensed nursing personnel must wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs; print tops are not permitted except in designated pediatric or women's services units.
• Patient ratio expected is 1:4.
• Work environment includes short-term acute care and Level II Trauma Center.
• Free parking available in designated employee/visitor lots.

Scheduling:

• Weekend work required: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
• No block schedules required.
• Shift assignments determined by unit needs and float requirements.
