Job Description
The Medical Assistant will support a specialty clinic and single-provider team serving adult patients. This role will manage patient intake, scheduling, medical histories, EHR documentation, exam room preparation, basic clinical procedures, and care coordination duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake and collect accurate medical histories.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Document patient information and clinical care in the EHR.
- Prepare exam rooms and supplies for patient visits.
- Support basic clinical procedures under provider direction.
- Assist with care coordination for adult patients.
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in medical assisting.
- Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with patient intake and clinical documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
- Strong patient communication skills.
