About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of travel experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Emergency department experience preferred, Emergency medical services experience preferred Description: Behavioral Health RNs needed for Adult Inpatient Unit. Ratios of 1:8. Must be willing to float to the Emergency Room or Medical-Surgical Unit as needed. Travel experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience required. Scheduling is a 36/48 alternating schedule. Must have knowledge of antianxiety medications, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and behavior management techniques. Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and managing assaultive behavior is crucial. Familiarity with medication administration and laboratory protocols is necessary. Must have a current understanding of patient diagnoses including bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, and personality disorders. Skills in handling self-injurious behavior, suicidal behavior, and substance use issues are essential. Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and the use of seclusion protocols is important. Candidate should be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe. Travel experience is highly preferred.
