About the Position

Job Title: Multi Modality Specialist Profession: Multi Modality Specialist Specialty: Multi Modality Specialist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: Guaranteed hours not specified Experience: Minimum three years of technical experience preferred License: Radiologic Tech in the state of practice required Certifications: CPR or BLS certification required Must-Have: Current certification in at least one modality Description: Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. Education and Work Experience: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred. Master's Degree preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required. Essential Functions: Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography, and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with experience. Performs three modalities competently. Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of the crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary. Safely prepares contrast agents for medical imaging procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: Required vaccinations are necessary for employment and on an annual basis where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
