Carpenter PositionAs a Carpenter with CXT, Inc., you will be responsible for fabricating and installing wooden and other infrastructure products according to job specifications.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirementsTake measurements and calculate the size and amount of material neededCut, shape and smooth lumberPrefabricate window frames, and doors bucksMaintain inventory numbers and submit any material requisitions to managementWork with a variety of carpentry hand tool and power tools or equipmentPerforms all work in accordance with established safety proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work area.Other duties as assignedExperience, Education, etc.High school diploma or equivalent; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is preferred2+ years of precast or construction experience required2+ years of previous experience as a carpenter requiredSkills & AbilitiesHands-on experience in working with carpentry materialsExcellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and constructionGreat hand dexterity and an eye for detailProficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)Ability to read technical documents and drawingsWillingness to follow safety guidelines at all timesUnderstanding of English language both written and spokenUnderstanding of basic mathAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.; bend/stoop throughout dayEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
