Position Overview

The Service Line Medical Director provides oversight and leadership to clinical services across multiple departments within an assigned service line. The position also provides direct customer care in the Medical Directors area of assignment and supports the delivery of coordinated high-quality clinical services consistent with SCFs mission vision and relationship-based system of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physician leadership and clinical oversight for multiple departments within an assigned line of services.
• Partner with operational nursing and clinical leaders to support quality safety access and service-line performance.
• Provide direct customer care within the assigned clinical specialty.
• Promote culturally responsive relationship-based care and an understanding of the needs of Alaska Native and American Indian customer-owners.
• Support clinical standards medical staff requirements and continuous improvement across the service line.

Experience and Education

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Current Alaska physician license.
• Current American Board certification in the specialty appropriate for the assigned service.
• Ability to meet all requirements for medical staff membership and the required privileges of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS NRP ATLS ALSO PALS and other certifications are required as applicable to the specialty and scope of practice.
• Three (3) years of post-residency experience as a physician or demonstrated proficiency as a physician at SCF.

Compensation and Attractive Factors

• Hiring range of $305739.20 to $428043.20.
• Sign-on bonus.
