Sign on bonus: $7,500 offered to external hires. Location: 1225 North East 2nd Avenue, Portland, OR. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Job Responsibilities Screen and evaluate non‑gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory to determine possible malignant or related abnormal conditions. Screen liquid‑based cytology prepared on non‑gynecological cases. Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policies. Ensure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non‑screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelines. Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results. Meet slide screening requirements as per the standard operating procedure. Finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner. Provide backup for cytology processing and other related tasks as needed. Comply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology. Completion of an accredited Cytology program. ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification. Preferred Qualification: Current or prior Labcorp experience. 2 years or more of experience in Cytology with ThinPrep certification. Additional Job Standards: Demonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniques. Experience with automated and non‑automated testing. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS). Able to pass slide screening requirements and an annual CAP proficiency test. Ability to work independently or within a team. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD coverage. 401(k) plan.
