Territory Sales Manager

WR Distribution is a stocking distributor serving door and window manufacturers, fabricators, dealers, and installers throughout Texas and adjacent states. Our objective is straightforward: to be the primary contact for industry professionals in our markets by providing essential products supported by extensive technical expertise and timely delivery. In October 2026, WR Distribution launched a stocking warehouse in Houston. This facility enables local customers to access inventory with reduced lead times and will-call service. We are currently recruiting a Territory Manager to promote this competitive advantage from the outset. The Role The Territory Manager is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of Houston-based accounts, focusing on increasing market share within existing clients and acquiring new business. This role is supported by a collaborative structure: each Territory Manager operates within a pod alongside an Account Coordinator who manages quotations, order processing, and follow-up activities. This arrangement enables the Territory Manager to dedicate the workweek to field engagement with customers. What You Will Do Defend and grow the existing Houston book through regular visits, strong relationships, and fast follow-through. Find out what each customer buys elsewhere, and earn a larger share of that spend. Open new accounts from a researched target list of Houston manufacturers and fabricators, on prospecting time that stays protected every week. Lead with product knowledge and value, not price. Build proposals that solve real problems for the customer. Work every day with your Account Coordinator so every customer gets an answer within one business day. Plan your week from the data, track your accounts in our systems, and share what you learn in the market. What We Are Looking For Three or more years of outside B2B sales building products, doors and windows, hardware, or industrial distribution. A track record of growing accounts and opening new ones, with numbers to show for both. Comfort working in plants, shops, and job sites, and the curiosity to learn the technical side of the products. Discipline: a planned week, protected prospecting time, and follow-through on every commitment. Straightforward communication and a team-first approach. Knowledge of the Houston market and its door and window customers is a strong plus. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. What We Offer A base salary of $85,000 to $90,000, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on gross profit, paid quarterly, with the largest share paid on growth. A company truck.
