Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) is responsible for assisting in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. This role involves preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are sterile and ready for use. The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in supporting the surgical team during procedures, including performing endoscopy cases, to ensure patient safety and efficient surgical workflow. Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Perform endoscopy cases as required.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored.
• Participate in inventory management and restocking of surgical supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to maintain efficient workflow.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
• Experience performing endoscopy cases.
• Ability to maintain sterile techniques and infection control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Previous experience in a hospital surgical setting.
• Additional certifications related to surgical technology or specialty areas.

• Shared on-call duties including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations.

• 40 hours per week guaranteed, except during holiday weeks.
• Shift assignments may include evenings, weekends, and shared call.
