Lead Android Engineer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of overall software engineering experience
• 5+ years of native Android development experience
• Strong background building applications with Jetpack Compose and/or traditional Android UI frameworks
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and cloud-based services
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and Agile methodologies
• Solid knowledge of the Android SDK, lifecycle management, and mobile performance tuning
• Strong grasp of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and secure application development
• Deep familiarity with Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVI, or similar
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin
• Preferred experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android Jetpack Libraries, Coroutines and Flow, Retrofit, REST APIs, GraphQL, GitHub, Azure DevOps or Jira, Firebase, CI/CD pipelines, Crashlytics or similar monitoring tools, and feature management platforms

• Design, build, test, and maintain high-performing native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks
• Deliver scalable, secure, and reliable mobile solutions that support critical customer interactions
• Partner with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Backend Developers to deliver customer-focused features
• Take part in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and technical design discussions
